Wood Furniture Care Guide
Finish
Most wood furniture is finished in a durable clear matt lacquer. This is an easy
to care for finish that doesn’t stop the natural beauty of the wood grain
shining through.
All our furniture is made from solid woods and wood veneers which all come
from sustainable resources.
Care
Solid woods, which are used in the making of some of our furniture, may expand
and shrink with differences in temperature and humidity. Do not place your furniture
next to radiators or anywhere where excessive changes in temperature or moisture
occur.
We recommend that all beverages should be placed on mats and any spillages
should be wiped up immediately. This should be done with a dry or damp cloth.
Cleaning
To clean the wood furniture, wipe with a damp cloth and buff with a dry cloth.
Regular dusting with a dry cloth will enhance the look of your furniture.
A good wax based polish will over the years will add sheen to your furniture,
if you prefer a matt finish just dusting should keep the item looking as good
as new.
Silicone based polishes should not be used on the wood as they will build up
and leave a sticky residue on the surface.
